Florida must not have the alumni connections and money like Miami, Ohio State, and Penn State. Those three schools had (or have) the ability to cover everything go with a little money hear.. a little persuasion there. An incident like that back in the 80's-90's would not have made it past the guy that made the complaint's clock out time. The police would have heard, ' I have no recollection of that incident," as the store clerk goes off to buy himself a new car!
